Procedure from Application to Registration

Trade Mark Application Number is allotted upon filing.

Examination of Application takes Place

If the mark gets accepted for publication, it is advertised in the Trade Marks Journal and in case of no opposition within stipulated period, registration is granted.
If the objections are raised at the examination stage, reply is to be filed in respect of objections raised.

If the registrar does not accept the mark upon receipt of reply to the examination report, hearing is allotted sequentially.

Upon hearing, if the mark is accepted, the same gets advertised in the Trade Marks Journal and in case of no opposition within stipulated period, registration is granted.
