Word ‘Designs’ as self explanatory protects the rights of owners in the shape, configuration, surface pattern of the articles which bears unique and original shapes. Anything which is novel in terms of shape and configuration which creates an identity for the product of the manufacturer in itself is recognized with a name commercially called as Designs.

Designs protects a unique shape which should have an eye appealing feature in a product which is termed in Design Law as Article.
